Viviane Silverstone was born in Egypt in 1940 and immigrated with her family to Italy in 1957. She married in 1960 and settled with her husband Eric in Manchester U .K. where their two sons were born and raised. In 1988 the Silverstones sold their business and came to live in Israel, in Caesarea.
In Israel Viviane worked at the main art gallery in Ein Hod and later trained in massage therapy at the Riedman Center in Tel Aviv and worked as a masseuse for several years. She is an artist and works mainly in oils. For a while she volunteered at the ESRA Book shop in Or Akiva. In her words: “I would love to think that soon in the future I will be able to give some of my time to the extraordinary cause that ESRA stands for”.
